Inspect flow cell to ensure flow is adequate and present. Backwash pool if flow switch is not touching sensor (left hand side).
Reset controller alarms if present.
Check sensor calibration - if actual chlorine reading using a calibrated digital test kit varies greater than 1PPM perform sensor calibration. Recommend to first reset factory defaults before proceeding with calibration. Always calibrate pH before chlorine sensor if pH varies >.1
Inspect sensor - CLB# sensor should have two shiny gold tips, ensure they are not bent, corroded, or missing. Clean if necessary by following sensor cleaning guidelines. CGE sensors are closed membrane sensors and require removal and new gel/cap to perform inspection & service. Please follow calibration instructions and monitor sensor before performing inspection and service. IF sensor is not tracking please remove sensor cap without touching tip to ensure the cap is full of gel. Please make sure there is no water in cap. If gel is low, missing or contains water please replace cap and/ or gel and screw back on sensor. Reinstall sensor and wait 60 minutes before performing calibration. Re-inspect in 24 hours to ensure that sensor is properly tracing. After servicing probes if sensors are not tracking please report problem to manufacturer or warranty center for replacement.
