• pH and ORP Sensors: Clean by wiping sensor tip with a dilute dishwashing soap for
grease removal. A soft toothbrush can be used to assist in cleaning, then rinse
thoroughly and soak for a minute or two in a dilute muriatic acid solution (75% water /
25% Acid). This will help remove any calcium/lime deposits. Be sure to use the soapy
water first and then the acid!
• DCM2CL (CLB3) Sensor: Be careful to NEVER touch electrodes or scrub with a toothbrush.
Simply swirling the sensor in soapy water should remove the grease, then rinse and soak
in dilute acid for approx.. 20 minutes.
• CGE, CTE, CLE, etc. (membrane covered chlorine sensors): These DO NOT require
cleaning, but will need the electrolyte and/or membranes replaced periodically, when
readings begin to drift too frequently.
